A while ago, somewhere in the recesses of blog time, I shared a thingy that said
‘Being overweight is hard,
working out is hard,
choose your hard.’
Or something to that effect.
And it only occurred to me tonight that that also applies to other things ... for example,
“Staying in a Fill in the Blank (job/house/relationship/life) that doesn’t fulfill you is hard.
Chasing your dreams is hard.
Choose your hard.”
Only, if you choose the chasing the dreams hard, then you end up with your dreams, so the hard is worth it. Whereas, otherwise ... you just end up one more of those all-too-common people who have nothing better to talk about than how much they hate their job.
It’s a thought in progress, but I thought I’d share it while it’s percolating.
